This is a simple flash banner that can be utilized as a banner ad or call to action text. Visitors feel free to submit some text below and watch it appear in the flash file.
This simple Flash Demo uses Actionscript3 to do everything. The text on the left hand side is currently static, but could also be dynamic. Equally, the "action text" or text that is changing can also be dynamic. I have included a simple test form for visitors to type some text in and have it appear in the flash file thanks to Javascript. This file could just as easily be configured to pull categories from a database of products, or even products with links, and the list goes on. This simple application could easily be customized to perform solid marketing tasks on your website or company intranet.
SGPRO has been developing Flash application for several years now. Flash originally was used to provide engaging animation for website visitors. Flash has also long been used to deliever multimedia elements like audio and video from your website. As Flash matures, the tasks that it can perform have become more advanced. Flash is more powerful than just a great source of animation.
The advantage to using Flash, is that your flash application will be served just as you intended, in all web browsers and on Mac and PC. No Cross Browser concerns. As long as your visitor has flash installed in their browser, all your visitors will have the same experience.
In the early days of flash, developers found that Search Engines were unable to evaluate the awesome animations they spent hours laboring on to impress the client. As more websites became dependent on Search for visitors, many websites began to shy away from using Flash in their websites. There was a quickly spreading rumor that using Flash in your site would have a negative impact on your website. Today that is just not the case. Adobe (the new owners of Flash) have been working closely with Google to allow Search Engines to be able to glean yummy seo content from flash applications. This is great news for developers and clients who can now provide a more visually stimulating experience for visitors without fear of being penalized by the major search engines.
Flash has evolved from just providing cool animations, to becoming a reliable robust platform to serve up queries and data sorting for ecommerce catalogs. Another exciting evolution in Flash development, is the ability for Google to index flash files. It has been reported that Google will have the ability to index textual content as well as links within the swf(flash movie).
