I fell in love with Fort Lauderdale when I came for my Birthday vacation. I had just completed my schooling, at least my initial schooling on web and programming, and was ready to break into the industry. My strengths initially were in IT, networking and some Office database stuff using MS Access. Early on in the “re-eduction” of myself, I realized the importance of managing data and data manipulation. I was always impressed by the ease my mom would have in creating pivot tables with tens of thousands of data entries.
At any rate, I worked several temp jobs at the clerical level. I would usually wind up creating some office database to organize some inter office collaborative effort. I would often hone my HTML skills with attempts at intranets. The more I tinkered the more I loved it.
